The database marks the job and any bound refresh run as cancelled before requesting a queue abort. Transaction fencing prevents a worker from installing data after cancellation even if it misses the abort request.
The job creator, a user with cross-user job permission, or anyone with write access to the job’s dataset may cancel it.
